Albany Capitals Coaches - 2010

The Albany Capitals organization prides itself on the quality of its coaches. They are all knowledgeable, experienced basketball people who share a love for the game and a desire to teach its fundamentals.

16 National

Head Coach Steve Lombard
Steve is currently varsity head coach at Saratoga Catholic High School. Steve has coached boys and girls high school basketball for 16 years. This will be his 7th year as a Capitals coach.

Assistant Coach Steve Gigliello
Steve is currently the varsity head coach at Holy Names. This will be his 6th year with the Capitals.

Assistant Coach Joe Murphy
Joe is currently the freshman girls coach at Shenendehowa High School, Joe has 10 years of coaching experience at the high school level. This will be Joe's 7th year with the Capitals.

16 State

Head Coach Warren Dart
Warren is currently on the coaching staff at Saratoga High School. Warren has many years of experience coaching basketball and is on the Board of Director's of the BCANY (Basketball Coaches' Association of New York). This will be his 5th year coaching with the Capitals.

Assistant Coach Kristen Dart
Kristen is the Head Women's Basketball coach at the Albany College of Pharmacy and a former Capital. She played basketball at Lycoming College. This will be her 4th year coaching with the Capitals.

15 National

Head Coach Audra DiBacco
Audra is currently the varsity coach at Catholic Central High School. Prior to that, Audra spent four seasons as varsity head coach at Bishop Gibbons High School. Audra played in college at Siena and is entering her 8th year as a coach with the Capitals.

Assistant Coach Guy DiBacco
Guy is entering his 7th year as the boys varsity coach at Lansingburgh High School. He was previously the boys varsity coach at Catholic Central High School. Guy has also coached AAU boys basketball for 14 years. This will be Guy's 3rd year coaching with the Capitals.

15 State

Head Coach Jay Matthews
Jay has been coaching youth basketball for 6 years in the Saratoga area. He's coached both AAU (Saratoga Spa Shooters) and CDGBL teams. Jay comes with a wealth of basketball knowledge and experience. He played in college as well as playing for the Shenendehowa Varsity team that won the Class A Public State Championship in 1987. This will be Jay's 4th year coaching with the Capitals.

Assistant Coach Tiffany Benton
Tiffany is a former Capital. She played basketball at the University of Vermont. Tiffany also coached local youth teams. This will be her 2nd year as a Capitals coach.

14 National

Head Coach Don Kimmey
Don is currently the girls junior varsity head coach at Catholic Central High School. Prior to his 9 years coaching in high school, Don coached youth basketball for ten years. He is beginning his 13th year as a Capitals coach.

Assistant Coach Matt Bixby
Matt is currently the varsity head coach at Bethlehem. This is Matt's 1st year coaching with the Capitals.

14 State

Head Coach Ashli Fragomeni

Assistant Coach Doug Holden
Doug is in his 4th season as Varsity Coach of the Notre Dame - Bishop Gibbons Girls’ Basketball Program. He has also coached at the youth, High School, College and AAU levels for the last 20+ yrs. This will be Doug's 1st year coaching with the Capitals.

13 National

Head Coach Paul Iachetta
Paul is currently the girl's JV coach at Waterford Halfmoon HS. He also coached AAU boys teams for three years. Paul played basketball at HVCC and was Athletic Director for CCHS. This will be his 6th year of coaching in the Capitals organization.

Assistant Coach Erin Murphy
Erin is a former Capital. She played basketball at Bryant College. This will be Erin's 3rd year coaching with the Capitals.

13 State

Head Coach Colleen Organ
Colleen played basketball at The College of St. Rose. She is currently the girls junior varsity basketball coach at Mohonasen High School. This will be Colleen's 3rd year coaching with the Capitals.

Assistant Coach Kelley Barnes
Kelly is currently the girls freshman coach at Mohonasen High School. This will be her 1st year coaching with the Capitals

12 National

Head Coach Kristin Alonzo
Kristin played college ball at Russell Sage and has been a head coach at the Freshman and JV levels. This will be her 9th year as a Capitals coach.

Assistant Coach Kelly Murphy
A former Capital, Kelly played in college at Russell Sage. She has coached local youth, modified, freshman and JV teams. Kelly is entering her 11th year as a Capitals coach.

12 State

Head Coach Gary Pascucci
This will be Gary's 1st year coaching with the Capitals. He has been coaching boys basketball for more than 11 years at Lansingburgh. He also coached girls basketball at Martha's Vineyard Regional High School for two seasons. Gary attended SUNY Cortland and Sage College and is currently a physical education teacher in the Lansingburgh Central School District.

Head Coach Lindsey Frament
Lindsay has years of experience as a girls assistant varsity coach. She played basketball at Catholic Central High School and Hudson Valley Community College. This will be her 7th year with the Capitals.

Assistant Coach Bill Ristau
Bill is currently the Bishop Maginn boys assistant coach. This will be his 2nd year coaching with the Capitals.

11 State

Head Coach Casey Snyder
Casey is currently the Women's Assistant Coach at Hudson Valley Community College. She recently graduated from SUNY Oneonta, where she played for four years. Casey played 5 years with the Albany Capitals (12U-16U). She is a graduate of Colonie Central High School. This is her 1st year coaching with the Capitals.

Assistant Coach Sarah Carciobolo
Sarah is a former Capital. She is finishing up school at HVCC, where she played basketball for 2 seasons. Sarah plans to continue on to get a four year degree. This will be her 2nd year as a Capitals coach.
